Piles - Hemorrhoids Homeopathy Specialty Treatment in Pondicherry & Chennai

Piles or Hemorrhoids
Piles, or hemorrhoids, are areas in the anal canal where the tissue, which contains lots of blood vessels, has become swollen. When visible they look like round pink swellings, the size of a pea or a grape.

Causes of piles
The exact way piles form is controversial but it may be linked to excess pressure in the anus and lower rectum.

This pressure can have one or more of several different causes:
  • Straining to empty the bowels when constipated.
  • Chronic diarrhea.
  • Pregnancy – the weight of the fetus on the abdomen and the increased blood flow, as well as the effect of hormones on the blood vessels.
  • Childbirth – pushing during childbirth increases the pressure in the veins.
  • Straining to pass urine, especially in men with prostate problems.
  • Obesity.
  • Varicose veins – many people with these also develop piles, although piles are not varicose veins.
  • Excessive intake of chilly and spicy may be the reason for bleeding piles

Different types of piles
Piles are classified according to their position.
  • First-degree piles remain inside the rectum or anal canal.
  • Second-degree piles protrude (or prolapsed) from the anus when the bowels are opened, but return of their own accord afterwards.
  • Third-degree piles are similar, but only return inside when pushed back.
  • Fourth-degree piles hang permanently outside the anus.

Bleeding piles – bleeding may occur when passing stool with or without pain or burning sensation, sometimes painless bleeding may happens,
Non bleeding piles – Pain and burning sensation may present before, during or after passing stool
Internal Piles - occurring inside the anus,
External piles - when they can be seen and felt on the outside of the anus.

Symptoms
Most people affected have internal piles and may not have any symptoms at all.
  • The earliest symptom is often bleeding of fresh, red blood from the anal passage when the bowels are opened.
  • There may be itchiness around the anal area.
  • Third and fourth degree piles may be more painful and tend to produce a slimy discharge of mucus that leaks from the exposed lining of the pile.
  • There are conditions other than piles that can cause bleeding from the anus, so anyone who notices bleeding in their stool should visit a doctor for advice.
Treatment
Homeopathy medicines helps for both internal and external piles
The most important element in encouraging existing piles to clear up is to avoid constipation. By having regular bowel movements, and avoiding straining, stools pass easily and do not put pressure on the blood vessels in the anal area.

A good intake of dietary fiber, plenty of fluids, especially water, and regular exercise can keep the bowel movements soft and regular, making piles less likely.

Urticaria - Hives Homeopathy Specialty Treatment in Pondicherry & Chennai

Urticaria – Hives
Urticaris or Hives are red, itchy welts on the skin that come and go over the course of minutes or hours. All types of hives can cause itching. They usually form on the skin but sometimes hives form in the soft tissue of the mouth, eyes and throat.

  • Hives are the result of an allergic reaction in the skin.
  • They are caused by the release of histamine. Histamine is released when a person's immune system tries to fight a foreign substance.
  • The release of histamine causes inflammation in the skin.

Causes and risks
There are several known factors that cause histamines to be released, and hives to form. These include:
  • Allergy to medications or substances in the environment
  • Acute or chronic infections
  • Foods
  • Underlying systemic disease such as asthma, a condition that causes inflammation and obstruction of the airways in the lungs
  • Blood products given intravenously, or into the vein
  • Scratching
  • Heat or cold
  • Exposure to sunlight

Hives are characterized by itchy red welts and swelling of facial features. Hives can cause a reaction that involves the whole body, not just the skin. This is called anaphylaxis. This is the emergency medical condition. Patients need to go hospital immediately

Treatment
Homeopathy treatment helps for Chronic Urticaria without side effects

Sinusitis Homeopathy Specialty Treatment in Pondicherry & Chennai

Sinusitis
Sinusitis is an inflammation (swelling) of the mucous membranes that line the sinus cavities.
Acute sinusitis often goes away in a few weeks, either on its own or after treatment. If sinusitis lasts less than four weeks, it is considered acute sinusitis. However, for many people, sinusitis is a chronic problem. For these people, longer-term medicines may be necessary.

Sinuses - Functions
Sinuses are a part of the upper respiratory system. Adults and older children have four groups of sinus cavities (maxillary, ethmoid, frontal and sphenoid) located within the bones surrounding the nose..

Under normal daily conditions, the sinuses produce up to 1.5 liters of mucus per day. Allergy, infection or environmental triggers may increase mucus production or change the characteristics of the mucus in the nose and cause symptoms. Each sinus cavity has an opening into the nose to allow for drainage of this mucus. Therefore, anything that causes swelling in the nose may lead to obstruction or blockage of the sinuses leading to infection and more sinus problems. To work properly, the sinuses need adequate mucus drainage and a functioning immune system to fight off infections and inflammation.

Causes
  • Sinusitis can be either acute or chronic.
  • Acute sinusitis is often caused by a viral respiratory infection that in some cases leads to a bacterial infection; the condition is short term, resolving once the infection has run its course.
  • The common cold, allergies and factors in the environment are the most common triggers for the development of sinusitis.
  • Other important factors may include tobacco exposure, nasal septal deviation, nasal polyps, dryness and mold sensitivity. Diseases such as asthma, immune deficiencies and immotile cilia syndrome are often associated with sinusitis.
  • In many people with sinus problems, the lining of the nose and sinuses is overly sensitive to a variety of factors.

Thus there are multiple possible triggers for the development of sinusitis.

Symptoms
Acute Sinusitis Symptoms
  • Pressure in the area of the affected sinus;
  • Nasal congestion and blockage;
  • Decreased sense of smell;
  • Postnasal drip;
  • Cough;
  • Sore throat and thick nasal drainage;
  • Ear fullness and
  • Worsening symptoms after 5 to 7 days.
Symptoms may vary depending on which sinuses are affected. Some can cause upper jaw and teeth pain; some can make you lose your sense of smell. Usually, though, you can't tell from the symptoms which sinuses are affected.

Chronic Sinusitis Symptoms
  • Chronic sinusitis, which is often not associated with an infection, may cause recurrent or continuing symptoms that do not respond to treatment.
  • These symptoms are more subtle and generally do not include fever. The symptoms of chronic sinusitis may vary greatly and last for months or years if untreated.
  • People with allergies, asthma, and nasal polyps are more likely to develop sinusitis. Many people with asthma also have chronic sinusitis.
  • People with deficient immune systems, such as those with HIV, are more likely to have sinus problems.
  • Living in an area with large amounts of pollen or pollution in the air can also increase the risk in sensitive people.

The diagnosis of acute sinus problems can be challenging as it is not always clear if infection (bacterial) is present or if the common cold (viral) is to blame.

Treatment
This may include a combination of medical treatments. Your healthcare provider will treat an infection, if present, and try to reduce the symptoms of a runny or congested nose.

Vitiligo - Leucoderma Homeopathy Specialty Treatment In Pondicherry & Chennai

Vitiligo - Leucoderma is a condition in which your skin loses melanin, the pigment that determines the color of your skin, hair and eyes. Vitiligo occurs when the cells that produce melanin die or no longer form melanin, causing slowly enlarging white patches of irregular shapes to appear on your skin.

Vitiligo usually starts as small areas of pigment loss that spread with time.
Symptoms
The main sign of vitiligo is:
  • Pigment loss that produces milky-white patches (depigmentation) on skin
Other less common signs may include:
  • Premature whitening or graying of the hair on  scalp, eyelashes, eyebrows or beard
  • Loss of color in the tissues that line the inside of mouth (mucous membranes)
  • Loss of or change in color of the inner layer of your eye (retina)
Although any part of body may be affected by vitiligo, depigmentation usually develops first on sun-exposed areas of skin, such as your hands, feet, arms, face and lips. Genitals also may be affected. Although it can start at any age,
Generally appears in one of three patterns:
  • Generalized. In this most common subtype, pigment loss is widespread across many parts of your body, often symmetrically.
  • Segmental. Loss of skin color occurs on only one side of your body. This type tends to occur at a younger age, progress for a year or two, then stop.
  • Focal. Depigmentation is limited to one or a few areas of your body.
The natural course of vitiligo is difficult to predict. In most cases, pigment loss spreads and can eventually involve most of the surface of skin.

 Causes

Vitiligo occurs when melanin-forming cells (melanocytes) fail to produce melanin — the dark pigment in the epidermis that gives your skin its normal color. The involved patch of skin then becomes white. It isn't known why this occurs.
·         It may be due to an immune system disorder.
·         Heredity may be a factor because there's an increased incidence of vitiligo in some families. Some people have reported a single event, such as sunburn or emotional distress, that triggered the condition.
·         Sometimes pigment loss can occur in someone who’s had a melanoma, a malignancy of the cells that produce melanin (melanocytes).
·         However, none of these theories has been proved as a definite cause of vitiligo.
Treatment
The goal of treatment is to stop or slow the progression of pigment loss and, if you desire, attempt to return some color to your skin.
Homeopathy medicines works well in Vitiligo – Leucoderma

Control of Your Weight

Control of Your Weight
Anyone who is overweight will testify that losing weight is not as easy as it seems. The people that are lean, or have gone from fat to skinny will say it’s just a matter of motivation and elbow grease. Although it is not as simple as that. Our environments have waged war on us. Their weapons are sedentary lives and Trans fats of mass destruction. All is not lost though; here are some quick simple tips to get ahead!
  • Substitute Water. Our bodies are about 65-70% water. It follows that water would be not only essential, but the best possibly choice of liquids to ingest. In fact, our bodies will sometimes simulate a hunger response, when in reality the body is craving hydration. When hungry, drink a glass or two of water to check if it suppresses your hunger.
  • Chew Your Food. Chewing our food very slowly and deliberately has several benefits that are often overlooked. It gives us the ability to relax, and enjoy our meal. Slow chewing is the first, and highly important, step in a complex system of digestion. Besides, if we eat slowly, we might feel full before finishing the whole meal, and can leave the rest for the next meal.
  • Exercise daily. How silly of me to include something as obvious as exercise. I did a 30 day trial with waking up, and walking for 30 minutes first thing in the morning. My journal records that I was feeling amazing during the period of time that I was following this habit.
  • Publicize your intentions. Start a blog, join a forum, and have other people keep you accountable to help. Tell other people your plan; it would help you get the motivation to go with it!
  • Create a food schedule. Plan your day so that you’re eating at approximately the same time each day. This scheduling will incorporate itself into your circadian rhythm, and aid indigestion.
  • Do not over eat. Know your limit and stop eating when you are full. I have often been a victim of wanting to finish a meal so that it doesn’t go to waste. This has left me with many a stomach ache. Next time, doggy bag it for later, and don’t hurt yourself!
  • Choose your snacks wisely. Put down the Lays® and cheese puffs. Pick up the apple and baby carrots. Make the right decision; I know you can do it.
  • Lifestyle. Remember, it’s not about special diets, or special exercise programs. The real secret is in turning your health into a lifestyle, and focusing on this healthy lifestyle with every choice you make.

Exercise Your Eyes

Exercise Your Eyes
We all know how important it is to keep our bodies fit by doing things like going to the gym, jogging, and swimming. But, did you know that you can exercise your eyes as well?
Eye exercising will keep your eyes healthy and help minimize eyestrain. Here are some easy to follow steps and tips to exercise your eyes and keep them healthy!
  • Palming Exercise - Sit comfortably on a chair. Rub your hands together until they feel warm. Close your eyes and cover them lightly with your cupped palms. Avoid applying pressure on your eyeballs. Place your palms so that the nose remains uncovered, and the eyes remain behind the slight hollow of the palms. Make sure that no light rays enter the eyes, and leave no gaps between fingers or between the edge of the palms and the nose. You may still see other lingering traces of colors. Imagine deep blackness and focus on the blackness. Take deep breaths slowly and evenly, while thinking of some happy incident; or visualize a distant scene. After your eyes see nothing but blackness, remove your palms from your eyes. Repeat the palming for 3 minutes or more.
  • Close your eyes tightly for 3-5 seconds, then open them for 3-5 seconds. Repeat this 7 or 8 times.
  • Close your eyes and massage them with circular movements of your fingers for 1-2 minutes. Make sure you press very lightly; otherwise, you could hurt your eyes.
  • Press three fingers of each hand against your upper eyelids, and hold them there for 1-2 seconds, then release. Repeat 5 times.
  • Sit and relax. Roll your eyes clockwise, then counter-clockwise. Repeat 5 times, and blink in between each time.
  • Focusing Exercises – Sit about 6 inches (150 mm) from the window. Make a mark on the glass at your eye level (a small sticker, black or red, would be perfect). Look through this mark and focus on something far away for 10-15 seconds; then focus on the mark again.
  • Hold a pencil in front of you at arm’s length. Move your arm slowly to your nose, and follow the pencil with your eyes until you can keep it in focus. Repeat 10 times.
  • Look in front of you at the opposite wall and pretend that you are writing with your eyes, without turning your head. It may seem difficult at first, but with a bit of practice it is really fun. The bigger the letters, the better the effect.
  • Imagine that you are standing in front of a really big clock. Look at the middle of the clock. Then look at any hour mark, without turning your head. Look back at the center. Then look at another hour mark. Do this at least 12 times. You can also do this exercise with your eyes closed.
  • Focus on a distant object (over 150 feet or 50 m away) for several seconds and slowly refocus your eyes on a nearby object (less than 30 feet or 10 m away) that’s in the same direction. Focus for several seconds and go back to the distant object. Do this 5 times.
  • Focus on an object in the distance (as far as possible) with a low contrasting background. Do this for a few minutes every half hour or so. This does not improve your vision, nor does any other technique. It can, however, maintain your best eyesight level during the day and prevent significant further vision deterioration.
  • Make up and down eye movements starting from up to to down. Do this 8 times. Then do the side to side eye movement, starting from left to right. Repeat this 8 times. Make sure not to add pressure to your eyes! It only worsen your vision!

Tips
  • It’s more important to do the exercises regularly than to do them for a long time. Even 30-60 seconds of eye movement every hour is very helpful. For example, when your computer takes its sweet time to do something, most people just stare at the poor thing and waste the time, but you can make a few circles with your eyes. Even the first day you do this, you should notice that, when you finish working, your eyes aren’t as tired as usual.
  • Taking short breaks from near work (e.g. staring at a computer monitor) to stare out to the distance also relieves some strain.
  • Palming is a good method to help your eyes feel better. You close your eyes and put your palms over them, this will rest your eyes.
  • Blink the eyes many times.
  • Splash your eyes with cold water repeatedly when feasible, and especially when your eyes are strained.
